My Lower Level Renovation-Made Into a Ship Motif

Patty S
by Patty S
We renovated our lower level and made it into a ship motif. I added portholes which I first painted before the walls were enclosed. Then metal was added to the circle edges.
Hand painted ocean scenes, with portholes
We put LED lights above the paintings to create an authentic look and also provided light in the hallway where they are located.
Sea gulls hovering over the waves
The finishing touch is the metal and glass porthole covers to really give the feeling of looking out a ship's porthole.
Sail boat out at sea
So fun and original. I love creating something different.

@Melody Drinkwater Wagner Oh my goodness, I just viewed your profile.....a swimming pool dug by hand. What an amazing feat. What a dad you had. What a great family project. I am so impressed.

Thank you Patty! I was beyond happy that my sister found the photos. All I had was the beginning digging of the pool. Brought back a lot of memories. I can't wait to replicate the pool. But, we are not digging it by hand/shovel this time. Loling!
