Combine together equal amounts of white vinegar and water in a bowl.
Soak a thick paper towel in the vinegar and water solution. Gently wrap the paper towel around the chrome faucet and leave it on for several minutes to dissolve the stains.
Unwrap the paper towel from the faucet, and rinse the faucet thoroughly with water. Dry off the chrome faucet with a soft cloth.
Wipe with 50/50 white vinegar in water. Wipe gently to remove spots wipe with plain water.
Use a cloth rag to dry.
Put vinegar in a plastic bag, fasten the bag with tape or an elastic band around the faucet. Leave on for as long as you can, remove and the spots should be gone.
Once you've gotten the hard water spots off, grab a sheet of waxed paper and rub/buff the faucet and the rest of the chrome. The wax will help the water to bead up and drip off. Plus the wax paper makes the chrome shine nicely! Good luck!
