How do I get blood stains from carpet?

got a lot of blood on my carpet. got most of it up, but there is still some stain left. I used cold water to remove most of it.

hydrogen peroxide
May be too late for anything to work well, but try white vinegar.
I agree, hydrogen peroxide should help. Make sure you test it in an area that is inconspicuous to make sure it won't change the carpet color or texture before you work on the stains. Something like oxy may help also since it is an enzymatic cleaner.
oxy clean also can help it will have to set for a while.
The stain needs to be softened so put glycerine on to it for a few minutes & then sponge off with warm water & dishwashing liquid. Dont rub hard !
