How can I redo my ceiling inexpensively?
The ceiling has rain stains all over it(before the new roof) I would like to redo it but don’t have a lot of money. What can I do?

You'll need to use a good primer - like Kilz, to hide the stains and then repaint the ceiling, Susie.
Agree! Prime with Kilz and repaint.
I have used Kilz and also used polyurethane to block the stains before repainting. Your situation sounds extensive, so the primer would be cheapest solution.
Kilz has a spray can that shoots straight up. Consider painting the spots with Kilz unless part of the ceiling is coming down.
I used Kilz. It took four coats to completely cover it. I rolled it on. Spray is bad for your lungs and the spray can float to surfaces you don’t want to paint.
Then I used a ceiling paint that was pink when rolled on but dried white.
