You can repaint with different colors, decopage, do a crackle finish...

You can use a dark color on the indents and lighten the rest.

Hi Pamela, I too have white furniture that has to be redone in situ. I’m planning on sanding down the top of the dresser, desk and nightstand and staining it a rich dark walnut and painting the bodies a lightish blue, then slightly darkening the raised edges a bit. My furniture hasn’t been repainted since I got it 56 years ago, so it’s overdue. There are many paints available out there where you don’t have to sand or prime, but if you’re going to paint, and it’s over oilbase I would prime it. I’m also fond of a satin finish because I find it easier to clean. Oh, and because I have to do this indoors in my bedroom, my bed will be covered with a canvas drop cloth. I find it contains the mess better than the plastic ones. Hope you’ll post a picture when you’ve finished!

Great you got it! Stopped at a shop called COSTAL on us 1 Lake Park. It's fantastic on site they sell fantastic furniture that's been done on the premises with a process called White Washing. It's amazing like you using colors.
