How to remove a grease stain from cotton blend?

New green shirt, out to dinner and grease & juice from steak dripped onto it. Treated it with Dawn and laundry detergent, washed, dried in dryer-oops Still there. Is it possible to get this stain out after washing and drying it? Please help on this as my shirt is new!!!! Thanks so much---Barb

    If you dried the shirt it may be that the stain is there to stay. Heat will set the stain. Try treating the stain again a few times--without drying the shirt and see if you can get it out. Here's some info: https://oureverydaylife.com/grease-stains-out-clothing-already-dried-30504.html

    I've had some luck with Resolve stain remover, but don't know if it will work on a dried-in stain. Always air dry when you're trying to get a stain out, then you can retreat each time until you find the solution.


    Also, there is a small-size Tide detergent stain treat pen you can buy where detergent is sold. You might want to keep one handy in your car for quick attention to stains.
