How do I decorate the top of a white folding table?

I have a 4 foot white folding table in my craft room that is also used as a guest bedroom. I would like it to look nicer than a hard plastic white table top.

My sewing room as functions as a guest room. I fold my table up and store it in a closet when I have guests. You could put a lacy table cloth over it too!
