How do I make dog-proof garden border?

I have two 35-lb dogs, both of whom love to dig. I spent thousands of dollars three years ago landscaping our backyard with pavers and beautiful plants. Then we got the dogs, and within a few months they have destroyed all that beautiful work. I know I'll have to get all new plants, but what can I do to keep the dogs out?Area I'm concerned with is around the edge of my home and along our back fence and both are roughly 2' deep from edge to wall/fence. Thanks for any help you can offer!

Pick up your dog's poo and bury it (shallow) around the beds. Dogs will not dig up their own poo.
I ended up pushing some decorative garden fence sections into the ground in front of the gardens that go around my house. The gardens range from 2 feet to 5 feet from the side of my house. The dogs have left my garden alone. They were so interested in eating the mulch that I had to do something! And yes--a few chipmunk search holes too! You can buy decorative fence sections in different heights, some link together, and pay a bit more for some sturdy ones that will last for years. I pull mine up in the late fall through winter and the dogs leave everything alone now. No more digging and mulch eating!
Start with the basics: Talk to a dog trainer. The dogs may need more exercise & attention than they’re getting at present, so compensate by digging. Bored dogs, especially if an intelligent breed or “working dogs” can create a mess. Training the human about their needs, plus the fencing & poo burial might fix it. Good luck!
This is a trick I was taught years ago, and always
worked for me and very cheap! You fill a spray
bottle 1/3 full with ammonia, the rest with water. Spray the mixture, in the ground, where
you don’t want the dogs to dig etc.

Ah, a typical homeowner problem. Easily solved. Train your dogs. People get dogs for various reasons and then fail to properly train them. There are hundreds of sites with helpful tips.

Chances are they are not getting enough exercise and stimulation, so they get bored and dig. Its instinct. They just want unconditional love and just want to please you. Walk long and often. Contact and screen various trainers. In no time you will have obedient non digging dogs.
There are 6+ dogs in my back yard daily with no digging. We rescued a male pup last October. Luckily he has the guidance of the other dogs. We work with him numerous times every day. Just takes time and patience.
