How do I spruce up dull silverware?

Try rinsing you cutlery in hot water and vinegar to see ifI the shine comes back. If you are using a dish washer the finish may be wearing off.

If you mean stainless try this

Clean tarnished silver cutlery with vinegar.

1. Place a large sheet of aluminum foil on the base of a large skillet.
2. Fill the skillet 3/4 full with hot water, adding 1 tsp.of vinegarf
3. Place the stainless steel cutlery into the skillet, and bring the water to a boil. ...
4. Allow the water to cool, and remove the stainless steel cutlery.

Or you can use a larger sauce pan and just ball the aluminum foil up.

Soak in sink with vinegar. Chances are it might have developed a film if they have been in the dishwasher.
