How do I fix cracked cement?

Question

I have a very large back patio and it is cement. Some cracks aren’t to bad but in other places the cracks are about a 1/4inch. I was given 3 estimates to fix at the tune of $8,000. Don’t have that kind of money. I am thinking there has to be a better solution that replacing my entire patio. Would love to hear any suggestions. Thank you.

You can buy readymade cement sidewalk/driveway repair mix at Home Depot or Lowe’s. It comes in a squeeze bottle and you just squirt it in the hole or crack and smooth flat. If the cracks are much larger, buy a bag of cement mix and mix up what you need and apply it to the cracks and smooth it just like you’re icing a cake.

The QuickCrete squeeze bottle crack filler shrinks badly when exposed to sun and heat. It works fine for a garage floor or interior floor crack. It is a plasticizer with fine sand. I found that it doesn’t match the color of concrete very well as it ages.
