How do I figure out how many tiles I'll need to buy?

I want to tile an accent wall and i see tiles in various sizes but how do i figure out how many tiles I'll need to purchase?

You could go to the store where you intend to buy the tiles you want. Based on the dimensions (length and height) of the area you want to tile and the size of the tile, they can do the calculations.
You need to know how many Square feet you have to cover. Then add 10% for errors and cutting. Then find how many tile are per square foot,take that number and multiply by number of square feet you need. Don't forget to add the 10% for errors and cuts.
measure lengths + width. Multiply it to get square feet. Take that to the tile store! Get a little extra for room for miscuts.
