Last summer/fall my yard was riddled with ground mole tunnels. I've tried many sure-fix methods to no avail. Any suggestions?

Because mole tunneling destroys grass roots, the ridges brown quickly. The most effective way to get rid of moles is to kill them with a trap. Learn how to get rid of moles in your yard before they do extensive damage.

Hoss,. Try call your local animal control, they can set traps with some cantaloupe inside. This will attract them. I had the same problem. Take some large boulders, and put it in one hole, to block that entrance/exit. This way they have only one way out, and in. This helps to trap them easier. Aloha!

Liberally spray your yard and the tunnels with a high grade of castor bean oil., leaving one section of your yard open for their escape route.

You can also crush multiple moth balls, jamming them into tunnels, then blocking entrance with a brick.

Growing castor bean plants and treating your lawn in early Spring with Grub X will kill the grubs the moles prefer. You may also have an abundance of earthworms in your soil, which are another favorite food source,

Milky Spore works on grubs, but requires annual treatments for 3 years to be effective. It will then last for 10 years.

If you git rid of their food they will leave. Spread the granular Ortho product that kills insects and grub worms and do it each year. Your problem will go away.
