my mom in the 50's put lenoilium on top of her hardwood floors and then discovered the bathroom floor had beautiful tile under it too.. Removed the tile but need to deal with glue on top of grout. I have spent over 200 hours removing from 2 bedrooms and hallway. I still have 1 bedroom and living room. Please give me an easier way to remove other then by hand 1 inch at a time

Mark oh boy! Good off is a good product to help unstick the glue. But it smells like crazy.

    Oh, Mark,

How sorry I feel for you!

See http:// improvenet.com/a/diy/how-to-remove-old-linoleum-and-glue, or Google "removing linoleum and glue from 1950's hardwood floors".

Due to the age of the home, you're most likely dealing with asbestos, so please take precautions!

This sounds like a horrible job! I have the feeling that before you're done, some subfloor replacement may be necessary.

I wish you th best, and admire your efforts!

Use of a heat gun would help with this matter
