I have a vintage piece of wood, probably a part of a dresser, and am looking for ideas about how to paint it. Please share and thanks!

Chalk paint, highlights, and wax...if you're using it where it's not touched much.

Hi Karen, what a beautiful piece. No wonder you saved it. I think it would look good distressed in white.

What a fun piece! I would use chalk paint, distress it, and then wax it. What do you plan on using it for? While it would look fabulous just hanging on the wall as a decorative piece, you could add some hooks or you could add a

shelf to the front of it.

Thanks, Gk...I've been thinking about hooks or a shelf as well!

I've been toying with the idea of doing some type of victorian paint scheme to it to bring out all of the details. Anyone think that might work well and have any tips? Thanks again.

Hi Karen, i would clean the piece well with TSP, then rinse and dry. I'd use spray paint to cover well, then perhaps go over it withwith a metallic glaze to accent the textures. It could be a great stand alone piece on a narrow wall.
