You could use up-lighting on plants, maybe a fern or palm plant. Or maybe use a light designed to show off a picture or painting.
Good lighting is key to a comfortable room. Also use mirrors to bounce light around the room. Choose different types of lighting. Ceiling, table and floor lamps. Uplighting, even fairy lights. Consider real or battery power candles and lanterns.
Floor lamps with higher LED lumen bulbs in warm or bright white (not daylight) intensities will brighten corners of your rooms.
Some people use colored bulbs for different effects. You'll need to research how these will interact with your walls and furnishings.
Switch them on no led light is very good even you can get dimmers
Make sure your lamps have white or eggshell colored fabric shades (pleated are attractive), rather than plastic shades or plastic lined shades, which are far less attractive. You're never going to achieve the same "CRI-color rendition index" with a LED bulb as with an invandescent bulb, but they are improving. Look for LED bulbs with a CRI of 90 ( marked on package).
Ratings of various brands of LED bulbs can be found at Consumer Reports website.
The best room lighting is achieved with a blend of sufficiently tall table and floor lamps. Some lamps come with three or 4 bulb openings, and some work with 3 way bulbs.
