How can I lengthen a 80" door to 84"?
Trying to replace a bathroom door with a farm style door but the existing door is only 80" long and I need 84". I do not want to buy a new door, Any suggestions. Thanks

Are you adding planks or boards to your existing door to get that farmhouse look? If so just add another board to get that extra 4"s and frame it all in.
Yes, I've had to do that too! Although I didn't DIY it I did watch my carpenter fix the doors. This is the process for a solid wood door. He attached solid wood to the bottom of the door with glue and dowels. Once it was dry we sanded it with a belt sander then primed and painted it after filling the cracks. That was before I was blogging, but I can show you a picture of the finished door. (it was a few houses ago... LOL) It's the door featured in this interior window post.
Add a rubber sheet on the bottom. The stuff used in gardens and landscaping. You can buy it by the roll. Or get funky with it and use a pool noodle.
