How can vinyl flooring be used?

Is it possible to use peel and stick vinyl flooring on a counter top? Looking for an inexpensive way to achieve a butcher block look.

I would recommend adding additional glue like PowerGrab or Liquid Nails. My husband did that on some rental houses where he did maintenance. The ones he glued down did well. His buddy did some without glue and they popped up after a few months.

Well if you have completely awful counter tops, and it’s short term, till you can save up for a new counter, why not. You could also get a cut of wood, and place it on top. But use a real cutting board even on top of that.

    Sherry,

You could use a countertop film that has a faux butcher block look. It would be relatively inexpensive, easy to apply, and easy to remove if you did not like it. A few things to consider are will you be able to cut on it, will it be damaged by hot pots and pans, and will it stand up to being cleaned. You can use peel and stick flooring, but you may need to do some prep on your old counter filling in any low spots and taking down high spots.
