What paint should I use to paint laminate floors?

Jan 22, 2013 - Clean: Kelly recommends giving the floor a good scrub with heavy duty cleaner trisodium phosphate. Sand: Bust out the sander to smooth out and de-shine the floor before painting. Repair: Fill in cracks and holes with caulk from the hardware store. Prime: Standard latex primer works just fine to prep floors, too.

I wonder if chalk paint would work? It goes over everything and takes very little prep work.... then you would have to give it a good wax to seal the paint. After 30 days . The wax should be sealed and water proof. I use Annie Sloan chalk paint on special projects.

Hi Annette! I can tell you how to paint laminate flooring with Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint! :)

It is super easy to paint with Dixie Belle:

Step one: Clean with White Lightning

Step two: Apply two coats of Slick Stick

Step three: Paint one to two coats of Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint

Step four: Use Gator Hide for a water-resistant finish
