Hello! King size mattresses are heavy! If you can push it off the bed and push it upright against a wall to get it out of the way then the rest is easier to move. Usually the king box spring is in two pieces and lighter weight and you can dismantle the bed frame/headboard. The best thing would be to get some help with the mattress! It would be better to have 2 people so you don't hurt yourself!

Furniture slides https://www.google.com/search?q=furniture+slides&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS750US750&oq=furniture+slides&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.7100j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 barely pick up each leg & slide slide under leg then push each corner of bed a little at a time. same with dressers if really big the lower you push on dresser the easier to move it instead of pushing up high,I have one lrg high boy dresser to move it I sit on floor & use my feet & legs on dresser saves my back or turn around and push backwards placing back on dresser squatting a little . Use your legs not your back to move anything lrg & heavy I'm only 5'6" and 120 and move all my furniture on my own if I need to.King size bed suite, fridge, stove etc..

  • Get yourself some furniture sliders. They make them for moving furniture on carpet or hard surfaces. They are small discs that go under the legs of the furniture, and work really well, I can move a heavy dresser by myself. They are available at your local home improvement store or Amazon.

You need to get some furniture sliders. You can buy them at Walmart, Lowes, and probably other places---or order online at Amazon. I used them all over but especially my bedroom. If I can move anything in my home by myself you should be able to use these to move your bed. It's a little tricky getting them under the legs but after that it's easy.

    Hi Rog,

If it is a framed bed then you will have to dismantle it. Otherwise enlist the help of others ........good luck! Failing that, had you thought to paint where you can access and add a wallpaper border over the join in colours so can't be seen and looks as if part of design..........

Those furniture sliders are definitely the answer to your situation. They are not expensive and you will find yourself using them often.
