How do I get rid off ants in my paving outside without using serious insecticides, as they can be dangerous for dogs and cats

    Hi Dianna,

    What you do is sprinkle jiffy corn muffin mix as it comes out of the package, do not bake it, on the area outside where you see the ants. They will take it back to their colony and wipe it out.

      Thank you so much for your help Redcatec, as I am in the UK we don’t have have Jiffy Corn Mix...but I’m sure we will have a substitute...thanks again 😘😘

    Try a mix of borax and sugar. Make a paste with some water. Make sure pets cannot get to it.

    Amdro ant bait, samething as borax and muffin mix or sugar & it is all poison but works in just a few hrs. put on trail ants take to nest and kills queen. I put something over bait til nest is gone just takes a few granules. I have 3 dogs,several cats never had any issues. muffin mix alone doesn't kill ants needs borax added. Ants eat plant matter for food which muffin mix is.
