Possibly thinking gel stain.
Are you going darker or lighter?
Probably about the same. They are maple with a colonial maple stain with a mocha glaze. Wanted to even them out colorwise.
Ok, great. Remove all your hardware, doors and drawers. Mark on back where they go. Clean with TSP Sand off sheen. Apply your gel stain to the coverage you want. Apply polyurethane in desired sheen. Have fun!
