I have a cast iron bacon press that is all rusted. What is the best way to remove the rust? Thank you
I tried baking soda in mine and scrapped it with a non abrasive scrubber it took most of it out then I sprayed a little spray oil in it and used a clean cloth and wiped it out real good. Now every time I use it I spray it with oil. Works fine
WD40, let soak, use a fine steel wool to remove rust. Recoat and wipe off.
According to "YouTube" YouTube should try coca cola
You can try table salt and a little water then let it soak then scrub it with a sponge and rinse and repeat it until your finished. Just something to try, Salt is an abrasive.
These will help you for both the rust and reseasoning. Cast iron will last forever, worth the effort to clean up.
