Hi Lynne: Don't know about the rubbing alcohol, but try this: Grout cleaner. Mix baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to create a paste for cleaning tile grout. Rub it on, let it sit for about 20 seconds and rinse off. Should work. Good luck

  • Baking soda works great to clean grout. I take about a cup and add some water to create a paste then I rub that into the grout. Then I will wipe clean with a half vinegar half water solution. I have never tried it with rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide.

  • Hi Lynne - This is the shower cleaner that we use to help keep grout and tiles clean and minimize the mildew - it works on kitchen grout too. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
