Hi Bobbie. I'm Cindy. Moles travel on their bellies. They cannot tolerate any vibrations on the ground. If you put a garden-size windmill near their home, they will relocate. Really anything that will make vibrations would work. Even a radio with the base turned up. Or a fan. Wishing you well.
Thank you!! They are destroying our yard!
I didn't read William's post and I may be repeating what he knew but I have always been if you can rid your yard of their food source they will move away. They do love grubs so possibly a yard treatment to get rid of them both.
Growing castor bean plants or Euphorbia will repel moles.
At our church we used spearmint gum...just stick a few pieces in each hole. They don't like the smell.
Actually they eat the gum and as they are unable to regurgitate it they choke to death.
Take away their food source. Grubs. Treat your lawn with a pest application for grubs. I think it’s early spring when it’s applied.
Don’t bother with things that irritate them like a few suggestions above. Although well intended They will just destroy your yard two feet over and avoid but you will still have a problem. We owned a pest control company and lawn care. Take away their food source for permanent solution. It may take a season or two to get rid of the grubs but the best solution.
