How to remove ice from windshield?

    Mix 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water, pour over the windshield. Water should be room temperature, not warm,hot or even lukewarm Ater pouring the mix over windshield, switch on the wipers to remove the last of the ice. This really works!

    Or Prevent the ice from forming by laying an old blanket over the windshield.

    Commercial de-icer works quite well and is pretty cheap.
