How do I take care of dog urine smell?

My little dog is very good at asking when he wants to pee. But his favorite spot is right outside the patio door.It's perfect for him but for me the smell builds up over time. I can't just go hose it off all the time.I buy expensive pet odor removers but they don't do the trick. Is there a short-cut solution for this?I tried ammonia, bleach, even perfumee fabric softeners. Any inexpensive, practical tips?
Try blocking off the favorite spot and he will go elsewhere. There are supplements that can change the pH and reduce the pill. Check at good pet supply house. We gave our dog a chewable treat that eliminated yellow spots in the grass.
It is very hard to get the smell of dog urine out of concrete because concrete is porous and will hold the odor. You might get the surface clean but the urine has soaked into the concrete. Here's some info that might help you: https://www.wikihow.com/Remove-Urine-Odor-from-Concrete
Try saturating the concrete with Odo Ban (available at Sam's club and homestores).
Try monitoring the amount of water he is drinking, which, if minimal, could account for more concentrated urine.
The boy dogs in my group are famous for this. I just use white vinegar and hose it off or toss a pitcher of water on it. Make sure they drink more water so their urine is less concentrated. Mine drink ice water year round. I fill up their bowls with ice every morning and evening and pour in refrigerated Brita water. They drink a lot more water but the urine is not nearly as damaging.
Could you possibly seal the concrete? Clean it the best you can, seal it so the orders stay blocked inside and to prevent more urine from seeping inside to make a more easily cleaned up spot later?

My doggie Schatzi (shih Tzu Mix) always warned me when he wanted to piss and I would readily take him to the back patio. But after the heavy rains, I got a lot of tiny mosquitoes which were killing me and him. He was smart not to want to go outside anymore so he decided to do it in the garage. A little more work for me since I have to immediately mop the floor with a solution of water and Pine sol. He doesn't piss inside the house except when people come visit and he gets very excited. Not much I can do about that-he gives no warning.
