You can display small collectibles in them. When I was a kid, that is where we mounted the butterflies I collected that I would find. Make them into boxes for kids to keep little toys in one place, I always had a couple to keep small Barbie accessories. They make good jewelry boxes for kids to keep dress up play jewelry in. They easily could be made into shadow boxes. There are a lot of things you can do with cigar boxes. They also work real well as jewelry boxes for the things that don't like to fit in standard jewelry boxes, like larger bracelets.

Valentines Day will soon be here. Arrange to let a daughter/teacher have students Ora child make their own “special box” to keep their treasures in. Start gathering up scrap paper, extra buttons, glitter like beads, tiny cars, marbles, & etc., now to help with letting their imagination ideas begin when a day is decided on to work their magic. Take the time to place a plastic throw away tablecloth down 1 tho. May need an “extra mom/dad, older sister/brother to help out too. Choose a “winner”, but have a “prize” treat/ribbon for each box owner when completed. Take pictures along the duration!

I wish I had pictures to show you they have since been lost in a fire but my great-great-great-grandfather made doll furniture for my Barbies and four smaller dolls out of old wood cigar boxes including dresser drawers that pulled out just like real Furniture chairs Etc wardrobes shrunks coffee tables picture frames you used to be able to make the same thing out of milk cartons not a sturdy but it's an idea I miss those items they were made with love but the love lives on in my memory my mom remembered playing with them as well as my grandmother I didn't get to play with them this much by the time I got him they were major antiques but I did get to play a little before they were lost

Wow, I'd glue them together, if possible, then cover with fablon and use as craft drawers for my stitchy stuff.
