How do I choose a nail gun?
On a pretty strict budget that I need to buy a nail gun to build my headboard, so it's for at least pallet board thickness to be attached. I'm not sure if I need a brad gun or a finish gun or a full size nail gun any recommendations and best prices would be great!

I bought an electric staple gun from Walmart. It's a Stanley. It holds 3 different sizes of staples and brads. Brads are like a small nail. I love it. Cost me $19.00 and worth every penny. My hands are very weak so I buy electric tools when I can. I have done upholstery w it and it worked wonderfully. I use it all the time for various things. Had a strange window that needed something but a rod wouldn't fit. I stapled the fabric up after I gathered it. It's not super heavy, either. Makes using it nice.
If you think you will be needing a nail gun for only this one project, then perhaps renting one would fit your budget better than purchasing one.
Does your community have a tool library? Ours does. You pay $40- year and you can borrow a huge variety of tools. Might be worth looking into. :)

Try a good saddle oil or try to find Obenauf's Heavy Duty LP leather preservative . Obenauf's Peck, Idaho 83545. Works great on my saddle and saddle bags. Good saddle oil on saddle. Have used the Obenauf on my leather chair and worked like a dream. Good luck!
