This is how I did my floor, Went to the hardware store and purchase a hard plastic wheel with bristles on it to fit on our drill. I used dish soap , and a degreaser. and a bit of water let it soak a few minutes. turned it on and had very good results. used it on my kitchen floor. I would not use any hard chemical because it will splash on you. If you feel the need to bleach you could try white vinegar. Do not use bleach or peroxide with the wheel!!! When it was dry, I resealed the grout.

3% hydrogen peroxide won’t clean oil/grease vapors found in kitchens. But it’s commonly poured on grout, scrubbed in and mopped up.

Soap cuts grease and the above-method works.

If you’ve something tough like red wine, I would make a small amount of paste using a powdered oxygenated bleach (like Oxyclean) and an old tooth brush. Yes, it will bleach your clothes and wear gloves, regardless.

Thorough rinsing is essential. Wipe up with rags and shop vac.

I just use water and a toothbrush to clean mine, occasionally I use oxy if there is a real stubborn spot. I rinse it with vinegar to make sure is cleaned of any bacteria or anything.

  • This is the shower cleaner that we use to help keep grout and tiles clean and minimize the mildew - it works on kitchen grout too. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly

Hi there, You can make a thin paste of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. Apply it to the grout and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes. Scrub with an old toothbrush and rinse clean. If the grout between the tiles has worn down too far, it may be a better idea to first re-grout and then seal. You can also buy grout pens to quickly “recolor” your grout and make them look new again.
