How can I use the floor space at either end of my closet?

Bi-fold doors make the back corners difficult to access. There is a built -in tower right in the middle of the closet so it not possible to have large boxes in there as they can’t get out!

  • How much space do you have available? How about hatboxes to store smaller accessories?

If you have enough space, the plastic shoeboxes are great for holding many different things, from shoes, to belts, small clutches, scarves, anything that will fit. They stack well and you can see what is in the boxes, but you can easily label them as to contents, too.

Why not remove the bottom sections of the center tower? Could the remaining upper half of the tower thenbe secured to the back wall?

This would open up your floor space for large boxes.

If not possible, can contents of large boxes be placed into smaller bins or boxes which would better fit the space?

Hmm, maybe some sort of saw could be used to cut out the bottom. The tower is all wood, very heavy duty, not free-standing so I think it doesn’t need to actually be supported by the floor.....big job but possibly....

I'd love the tower to one end and turn it sideways to access and open the closet up.

I think there’s a typo and you are suggesting moving the tower. But it’s rock solid wood and would involve demo work that I’m not able to do
