I broke it when I was locked out because I needed to get in quickly. The hole where the knob used to be is pretty messed up as is the lock mechanism.

Our front door (metal) has a lot of gaps between the door and the frame allowing cold or hot air to come in. How do I fix that?
hard to see what the problem is with the door - does it not shut properly? is the glass broken?
Use some sandpaper to sand where it's sticking. Just a few gentle passes with sandpaper should solve the problem.
Tere, we had the same problem a few months ago. A neighbor used his wood planer on the top and shaved off enough wood that it didn't stick, but fits nicely to keep out the cold.

We had to use a rubber mallet and hammered the frame. Then we used a sheet metal screws to hold the frame up.
If it's wood, try rubbing bees wax along the edges. Remember that wood swells and contracts.
If it's metal, you may try silicone spray.
If your house humidity exceeds 40%, this can be a contributory factor.
If door is near kitchen, always use exhaust fan when cooking/baking.
If none of these works, your door framing may be affected by settling. Check it for plumb and level.
How can you answer a question when you don't know what is wrong with the door?
look on the door frame to see where the scratch marks are from the door closing. Get a ladder if it is the top and sand the spots down by hand. Normally you would remove the door and use a plane to plane off the area that is rubbing. Try the sandpaper. Get a coarse grit to remove the wood faster.
