It’s a huge endeavor, especially if there’s a lot of decorative elements. Maybe start with the table, then maybe you’ll like the “Not matchy-matchy” look. Get the Pintrest app, here you type in what you want,( like the photos I sent) and there are tutorials, ideas... here on Hometalk, I’ve seen almost everyday someone painting furniture. On Pintrest just tap on the photo and it takes you to the site.

If they are already painted, there can be quite a bit of prep involved. If the old paint is in rough shape, you should sand the surface until smooth. If the paint is in great shape, you could only spot sand as needed, prime right over it with a gripping primer, and paint with your latex color of choice. I typically use Kilz primer.

I used citrus stripper on my pine table, the old paint bubbles right up and scrapes off easily. Then I sanded for a smooth finish. After cleaning with tack cloth to remove all surface grit, I primed with Zinser before painting. Long job but great finish.

The easiest route would be to give them a light sanding, wipe them down to remove dust from sanding and then paint them white with chalk paint.
