Looking for good ideas and pics to help me re-do this little plywood chest into a Southwestern / Navajo piece ???Thank you ;-)

Or check out your local craft store and see what they have that might fit well with your Southwestern theme.
I was hoping to see some pics of chests or trunks that people have already done in this style … ;-)
Take the ropes off. Get pictures of Indian cave drawings and replicate them. Or you can paint the sides similar to your beautiful carpet.
I'd say mimic the pattern in your rug, and apply different colored wood stains along the pattern!

Put a piece of foam on top and upholster with a serape; you could inset pieces of serape on the sides as well. I like the rope handles; I would also consider something in wrought iron.
