If Patty! Usually, in a bathroom sink, hair gets caught in the drain and gunk gets caught on the hair. Happens in the shower too. You will need a hair grabber, which is a long, skinny piece of plastic with barbs on it. After removing the hair, you can usually get the drain to unclog. I like vinegar and baking soda. Cover the opening of the drain with about a quarter of a cup of baking soda and then pour vinegar over it until all the baking soda dissolves, as it bubbles like crazy. Follow-up with hot water until the drain is working. If that doesn't work, I prefer the gel Draino.

Pour some baking soda down the drain. Then pour some vinegar down. Immediately cover the drain with a cloth and press down. The force of the bubbling should push the clog through.

If the baking soda, vinegar, hot water method doesn’t work on your kitchen sink, trying squirting some Dawn dish detergent down the drain.

Wait a few minutes before running warm water.

if it’s a grease clog, this should help dislodge it.
