Should acrylic wax be used over chalk paint?

    Hi Julie, you can use any kind of furniture wax over chalk paint since it's a water based product

      You should be able to sand the wax off to check whether the chalk paint itself turned yellow (bleed through from the tannins) or if there's a problem with the wax. If the chalk paint still looks white then re-apply the wax making sure to really rub it into the chalk paint.

    You can use any type of wax on top of chalk paint!
