Which project are you looking at?
This question would be better posted at the bottom of the project rather than as a general forum question.
most baby chairs now days have to meet certain guidelines for the baby to be safe. that said, there are wood working web sites you could check out, wiki how, instructables are 2 of them or run a google search How to make a hi-chair, or booster seat. don't for get the safety straps/ belts/harness.
