Cutting glass is very serious. You could easily injure yourself (or others close by), so always wear protective eyewear & gloves.
First, do not try to drill in tempered glass! It must be plate glass. Second, use a diamond-head drill bit and "cutting oil". Go slowly, as you would with cutting tile. If you’re not comfortable with this task or it’s a big project...by all means, take it to a professional at your local glass shop and have them help by doing it for you. Fast & easy...
