  • Hi! Baskets can be your best friend. They’re great for tossing mismatched socks, dryer sheets, cleaning rags, etc on shelves. You can make your own labels. The best place to find affordable baskets are the dollar stores. I give some tips on how I organized my old laundry room in the link below. It was small but packed with storage. I installed shelves and lined them with baskets. Stuff above the washer and dryer was hidden with a homemade curtain.

I have a small laundry room ( in a small house ) the room is the width of the washer & dryer side by side , with about 2 inches on the side of the dryer , where I put a folding drying rack. I put 2 shelves on one side wall and the back wall. That is where I keep laundry supplies , paper goods , paper towels , toilet paper , tissue & napkins, this is on the shorter side wall . Then baskets on the shelves above the washer and dryer where I keep cleaning supplies , rags , one basket has all my user manuals for household appliances and products . On the other short wall , without shelves I have a strip that grips and holds my mom & dust pan , broom , duster & spray mop. Behind the door is where I keep my vacuum . Also on that wall I have a couple of books to hang a hanger or damp dish towels. I would like to get a hanging drying rack , that pulls down from the ceiling when needed , but that will be on my to do/get list . Hope this helps ! Good luck !!!

Hi ! I have a small laundry room , in a small house , that doesn't have a lot of storage. My laundry room just side enough to hold my washer and dryer , side by side with about 2 inches to spare on the side of the dryer , where I keep a folding drying rack . I have 2 shelves on one of the short walls and above the washer & dryer . On the shelves on the short wall I keep my laundry supplies and paper goods , paper towels, tissue , toilet paper, & napkins . I keep baskets on the shelves above the washer and dryer where I keep my cleaning supplies , rags , one basket holds all my appliance and household product manuals , another holds light bulbs and batteries . On the other short wall that doesn't have shelves I have a helper strip that holds my broom & dustpan , mop , duster , and spray mop . I also have a couple of books to hang a hanger to drip dry something or to dry damp dishtowels .

I keep my vacuum behind the door . I hope this helps ! Good luck !!!
