To clean, it will depend on the issue. You can pressure wash with a cleaner to remove pollen & dirt. If you have mold, mildew, and the like I would pressure wash first with plain water then apply "wet & forget outdoor" to prohibit the return. Not sure what other type of issues would cause it to dull.

Aging has made the boards look dull and washed out. I have had them pressure washed recently so they are clean, but still dull.
