I love Valentine's day! It might just be a silly hallmark holiday- but it never hurts to show the ones you love how much they mean to you. And the middle of February can be pretty dreary around here...so it's the perfect time to add some pinks and hearts to your space!

Supplies:

3-4 sheets of pink or red felt (per tree)

Foam cone (I used 9" & 12" ones)

Hot glue gun

Fabric scissors

Thin sharpie or marker

I used a piece of card stock to cut out a heart template, so all my hearts would be the same size. Then I traced it on the felt and cut them out. For the 12" cone it took 4 sheets of felt hearts and for the 9" cone it took 3 sheets. But it will depend on the size of your hearts- for how many sheets you will need.

After you have the hearts cut out, start hot gluing them along the bottom of your cone. Making sure you overlap them a little, so the bottom of the cone is covered.

Then go row by row, overlapping a little each one to cover any white spaces.

Before you do the top row of hearts- I cut a circle out of the felt to cover the top of the cone. Glue the circle to the top. Then as you glue the top row of hearts, fold the tip of the hearts onto the top to finish.

I found these mini cake stands in the Target dollar section last year and couldn't resist them. These foam cones fit perfectly on them- and love the different heights they create!

I love how they turned out!!
