How do I remove a brown toilet bowl stain?

Go to dollar store get "the works" toilet bowl cleaner. Empty as much water as you can. Put the works in bowl then let it sit a few hours then flush, it should be gone. It works for me.

You may have too much iron in your city water. There is a product, called Iron Out, or you may have to install a water softener.

It looks like rust. If so, I used this when we had rust stains in our toilet.

You should have a sample of the water tested. You might need to put that water softener back on.

Have you tried CLR? Its a calcium, lime, and rust remover and totally biodegradable.

Try a product called The Works toilet bowl cleaned. A disinfectant, removes rust lime scale and hard water stains. I purchase mine at a Dollar General

Drop in a couple denture cleaning tablets. Do at night. Put the lid down to prevent accidents.

Flush & brush if needed. Repeat as needed.

Whatever product you try, turn off the water and then flush, probably flush twice so the product won't be as diluted. If this is rust, there is a Rust Off product. There is always bleach, but be careful and use some dilution. Care being from splashing bleach on clothing and eyes. Do not mix bleach with anything else. If this is only rust, bleach probably won't work but will brighten bowl.

Hi there...I honestly never heard of "The Works." Ever since moving to Florida, (I'm enjoying it by the way!), I had had THE MOST difficult time keeping my toilet bowl white and shiny! I'm a Martha Stewart type ... A curse in a sense lol, but what I usually used daily, yes, I cleaned my bowls daily, many times twice. Nuts, know. Not much else was working. I tried all sorts of things.

Then after some searching as well online AND YouTube, I saw a woman who swore about this toilet cleaning product called "ZEP." It can be purchased online or at Home Depot. It's one of their products. It's an acid based toilet bowl cleaner that comes in a couple of sizes. 32 oz or gallon. I purchased the gallon. I literally used only about 4 oz from my purchase last July 2018. It's a darkish blue gel like product that you squirt into your bowl and under the rim of your bowl. You can use you regular brush and leave in/on for a half hour up to over night. Just close lid for child/pet safety. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Look it up online or YouTube.

I removed mine very easy. Empty as much water as you can. Then, use a Stainless Steel Scrubber with some Comet Cleaner and scrub it until gone. It won't make any damages, even if you see a scratch it will go away. It's my best weapon! Then for maintenance I use Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner Advanced Deep Cleaning Power and work wonders. I am on a well and have a water softener installed to remove the iron from water. Even with that I still get Iron stains and hard water marks. I use Iron out regularly and keep a Works tablet in the tank at all times. it prevents hard water marks.

Hi there, try Efferdent for cleaning false teeth. Put 3-4 in the toilet when you go to bed. Depending on how bad it is, it might take a few times. And elbow grease. Hope this helps.

Rustoleum makes a really good rust cleaner. Denture tablets work if you use several and leave them over night.
