Bamboo Poles Wanted

Any suggestions on where I can get 16 bamboo poles in/near Atlanta? Raw or dried.

Do you want to buy them or cut your own? There is a big patch near the Chattahoochee river south of Douglasville.

Check Michaels stores, Pier 1, and plant nurseries. Just call them and if you have Home Depot or Lowe's try them too.

Paul, I don't mind cutting. Walter, I'm thinking @ 2-3" diameter and 8-12 feet tall.

Nikki I can't remember exactly where I saw that bamboo but it was somewhere near the Hutcheson Ferry Road area, close to the river right off the side of the road. It was the size and kind you are looking for, big bamboo, about 2 to three inches in diameter at the base 12' or higher toward the end. I could find it again if I have to and make a note of it but if you have time to go look around there it isn't hard to spot. It was a very large patch in a semi-swampy area right on the side of the road.

Call the Athletic Club Northeast at 404.325.2700. They have a big patch behind their building and it's easy to get to.
