poor down soda crystals - as much as you can get down there. Then get the plug in one hand and white vinegar in the other, poor the vinegar over the soda and put the plug in quick. it'll have to fizz down then instead of up taking the gunk with it.

Put some liquid dish cleaner and boiling water down the drain/commode. Flush Then try plunger. There are small plungers for sinks. Be sure to cover the overflow drain before plunging a sink. A drain snake can be used if all else fails.

First, stop over at WalMart or Home Depot and get one of those drain fisher thingies with the hooks all over them. They're plastic, long and pretty cheap (like $3). Remove the drain covers and push the thingie down the drain. When you pull it up (especially from the tub) you won't believe the amount of hair and gunk that gets stuck down there!!!

Then, use the baking soda and vinegar as above. It creates a chemical reaction (you'll hear fizzing and see small wisps of smoke lol!). This dissolves stuff such as soap scum, etc.

However, as you're asking about both sinks and the toilet, you may have a more serious problem such as a clogged sewer pipe or cracked one.

hi I'd like to pass on to you my experience when I had to call in a plumber for a blocked toilet bathtub and sink in one guest bathroom. he had determined that there was no tree root invasion and used a small snake to remove any hair clog. Once finished he did not use any harsh chemicals like I had expected instead he poured approximately one cup of blue Dawn dish detergent in the toilet, tub, and sink, his then walked away for approximately 20 minutes came back and flushed the toilet that went down with ease, turned the water on full blast in the bathtub, hot, and the same in the sink. I couldn't believe it. Unfortunately the bill was the same in the end but I had learned that Dawn dish detergent was used for more than washing dishes! Good luck!
