Can you lay a rubber floor over existing laminate?
can you lay a rubber floor over existing laminate or should I remove it down to subflooring? Nothing wrong with laminate just want a different color.

I think the rubber will adhere to the laminate flooring. You can paint over it

Since the laminate is in good shape it should serve as a good base to lay the rubber flooring over without a problem. The laminate will actually add another layer of strength and insulation to your floor.
You can but it would more likely destroy the laminate.
Hi Tammy. I'm Cindy. If the existing floor is level, dry, and still in one piece, it should be OK to lay a rubber floor over it. You will need to take the quarter-round up before you begin. And then reinstall the trim after the new floor is down. Good luck Tammy.
