What should I do to these doors?

Paint it white. I am so jealous.

Your doors are beautiful. I would leave them alone. Perhaps you can add white to other areas to lighten up.

YES PAINT IT!!!! I'm so tired of people telling me that I would be committing a sin to paint the solid wood. Well maybe I want to and I don't want to live with it like this anymore. LOL!!! No need to explain! HAHA....and remember if styles change, wood can always be stripped...it's almost harder to remove stain because it seeps in deeper. Good luck!

The doors and the ship lap walls would all look wonderful painted white. White paint would really brighten up your room. You would have to prime first.

I would paint the walls first then decide on the door. It might be a nice accent left alone but I would probably try to change the color to a greyer weathered look.

I would paint it anything that is painted you can use a paint stripper on it later and get it back to bare wood if you want. It works great.

If your going with a white kitchen maybe try the door white and the trim black lots of people are using black on trim now.

My favorite white is Alabaster by SW.

I can tell you from experience white lower cabinets do get dirty with children.

Our daughter in law did her uppers white and the lowers grey and it looks wonderful.

After painting your walls, if you still don't like it, I would try white washing the doors. If you still don't like it paint them

Yes, paint them. If you don't love something, change it.

Paint will make such a difference to how bright your room feels. Paint them! Be sure to seal all of the knots and pine with a good shellac based primer. Otherwise, your paint job will turn yellow in a few months.

It's up to you. Your house, your door, your choice! But as another poster said, you might want to do the walls first then decide about the door and its frame. Too much white can feel a bit overwhelming. And while I may be in the minority here, I've never found it easy (as some here seem to be saying) to strip painted wood if I wanted to go back to stain. It can be done, but it's not easy. In addition, you've got "crevices" formed by the crosspieces so stripping paint to restain will may harder than it would be with a flatter piece of wood. I am a natural wood lover. I understand the need for a change, though, and white will make it more contemporary.

Remember, the doors and trim are their own entity. You can paint the walls and leave the doors and trim natural. I think the contrast will actually give a more dramatic make-over than painting everything.

I say paint them and consider a different door knob...I love vintage....maybe you could find something really unique at a antique store?
