Budget Decorating - 18 Finial Hacks - Legally Steal Designer Ideas

There are more than 18 finial hacks to create your own curtain rod finials, garden hose guide, storage and candle sticks and large aged finials that look expensive and cost only a few dollars. More on the blog
Use PVC piping to get this designer look, add a finial and spray paint bold colors. This idea comes from Selina Lake, UK Designer who styles for very big magazine names.
Add paint and finials to different jars. Paint them, age them or distress. Use them to store things in your bathroom, kitchen or sea shells.. steal this idea from Restoration Hardware.
Here is a tutorial using a PVC pipe and adding wooden, gilded wooden finials to create a curtain rod with finials. There is a tutorial... the cost for the PVC (approx $5) pipe and finials ($4.99 for 2) (paint extra) is less than $10. You can do it cheaper for this if you shop smart.
Ana White has added finials (furniture feet) to the top of a pine planter and painted it gray to create a more expensive looking garden planter.
Use finials screwed to the wall to create hangers in your hallway or bedroom. There is another idea on the blog that is a knock off from Pottery Barn using finials as frame hangers. Instead of $24 each they are $14.95 for two.
Candlesticks, finials and jars create these great storage containers that can be used in the kitchen, bathroom or dining room. The cost depends on the pieces you use, if you are thrifting or using Goodewill for the candlesticks and finials..
Paint and add finials as door knobs..
Add wooden finials to galvanized pots.. These are furniture feet.. the blog has some idea of cost from Amazon.
Stain wooden furniture feet to create finials with different heights. Chalk paint and distress to get an aged effect. Use to create finials of different heights for your living room or as a feature at the end of a hallway.
More tutorials this one to create different finials made from furniture feet and candle holders.
Create ribbon holders from candle holders and finials. These would look great in any craft room.

I'm going to check cost of finials against cabinet pulls and knobs. This might be my answer to my kitchen redo.
