How do I give my toilet more flushing power?

I have a 10-year-old toilet. Over recent years I've had septic tank pumped, the lines going out from it opened, etc. But my low-flow toilet almost always takes repeated plunger work to get it to totally flush. Is there anything I can do? I do use those septic tank things like Rid-X. Maybe not enough?

Most toilets today are 'water savers' and in the process they 'save' everything else too -- a TOTO brand toilet is a good flush every time. my husband has OIC and has a tendency to plug up a toilet about every week --- which is why we purchased the TOTO ... never had another problem!

Under the rim should be a row of holes. A friend took a coat hanger and put through build up in holes. My husband just put in a new toilet after 12 years. It is a water saver, so we have a better flush and save water.

You may just need to change your toilet. Upgrade to a better flusher, like a Toto.

Had same issue. I did what Leah said & put wire into holes then flushed over & over many times with hot water & in some of these hot water flushes I put in a cup of bleach or maybe you could use cleaning vinegar but I wouldn’t know if this method would be suitable for septic!?!?!?!.
