How do you decorate for February without the Valentine theme?

Start on your Easter decor.

Use flowers. For spring and some spring looking candles . you dont need hearts everwhere just keep it simple with wreaths and table top candle didplayes . maybe a vase of flowers on the tables

It depends on where you live, but here Feb is last of the strong cold winter months so anything with snowflakes or ice in a blue & white format would fit well. For some people, February can also be the time for an uncluttered look. Put some things away temporarily to open up the smooth lines of floors, furniture, and windows. Then add some green plants in to introduce color. A bowl of winter fruit is always a beautiful addition to a February decor. Those are some of my thoughts, some of which can be transitioned into spring. Wishing you the best.

You can always do Presidents day early. My mom always did. Had Lincoln and Washington everywhere. There was always something hilarious to look at when you came home with a Buzz. If it wasn't Washington looking Blitzed out of his Mind, it was a Big Egg no Rabbit could sit or 12 Flags on the steps as though 1 wasn't enough, or Pine Cones in bulk enough to place your drinks on or my favorite: The Fold Out Paper Turkey.

Maybe you can get away with a Fold out Paper Turkey for Presidents Day...

Dear Merrill, I believe the theme for this time of year depends on where you live. By the Great Lakes, we still have snow and cold so I like the snowflake theme; I also use snowmen. This year, I am doing an assortment of pine cones and rustic accents. I have small boughs and garland of long needled pine. (minimally placed). I also use candles with rustic holders. And quite sparse and clean with cozy pillows and winter throws. "Hygge" is the word I try to replicate. Simple, welcoming, relaxed.

I really like beginning to put out some greenery, terrariums, succulents this time of year. It's perfect for just before Spring, but right after Winter. Some natural wood and a minimalistic color palette are great, and transition well into Spring when you may want to add florals, etc.
