How can I add curb appeal?

I'm getting tired of cars/trucks making tracks in my lawn. Unfortunately, I don't have a curb. Its grass meets road! I need ideas for a perimeter or curb appeal. Help!!!
Can you put a fence up? Like a split rail type? Is it allowed in your town and how close are you allowed to be? Or you could put a strip of gravel down with metal borders to hold it in. Then put the fence up.
Honey don't fight it go with it. I'd use pompous grass or whatever's native to your area. Something drought tolerant for sure. And please think perennial. Something tall would be perfect. It'll draw there eyes up and away from the obvious. Believe me 2years growth you won't think of it as a problem area.. Promise!
Maybe some spike strips so they keep off your grass....just kidding! How about some Barberry shrubs along the road area & they do have spikes on plants,evergreen(all year long) with red colored new growth and flowers in spring,dought tolerant easy care,medium growth rate can eventually be pruned into nice looking hedge can get up to 6x6ft so prune to desired height.
