How to remove sticky film on glass?

2 thinks come to mind. 1. Mayonnaise with a cloth gone.

2. Goo be gone.

Either one works great

Use a razor blade scraper to remove as much as you can. Then saturate a cloth with Goo Gone and wipe the excess film and adhesive. You can also use acetone nail polish remover. Won't hurt the glass.

I always use really hot water on a towel and wipe the glass quickly. It usually comes off pretty easily and then I'll finish it off with Goo Gone if I still have some left.

Acetone or acetone based nail polish remover should also work.

Use a rag with a bit of texture to it — for example, terry cloth as opposed to an old t-shirt — and soak a small area of it with WD-40, then scrub at the residue. I see the person in front of me with my answer. You want a very sharp scraping blade...change the blade often. Score the stuff you want to remove well and soak it in WD...let it sit 15 minutes. Then you want to start scraping it. Make sure it is well braced and that you keep your fingers out of the way in case it slips. Once you get the first layer off then repeat the same steps to get the rest off. It works great
